XRAY - Model racing cars

Blade, you seem to be going in the right direction. I still can't get my computer to download and post the set-up sheet, but the most important changes are the diffs and shocks.

Try 5K/7K/1K with no small o-rings.

Shocks, try 1.5 pistons when the track gets rough (maybe 55/40). Also, use sofeter springs such as Mugen Grey or Kyosho blue. The light car needs a softer suspension. I am thinking about trying Kyosho greens next, which are even softer.

Also, I use 3' rear toe. Every change you make to the XB8 will be noticed, so only make small changes; one at a time.

Experiment yourself, because everyone has a different driving style. Greg Waller and I use a much different set-up, but we are both fast

Anyway BUY XRAY!!!!!! If a company is going to build a plant like they are then they must be seriouse about RC. I've got an origional Xray T1 which I brought about 3 years ago. I was going to get a Losi XXXS but when the guy in the shop got the T1 off the shelf and opened the box WO WO WOW. It screamed quality at you with the stunning carbon chassis and bulkheads assembled. Even Xray's plastic bags are high quality. Everyone at my club did and still do admire the quality of the xray and love the chassis. Plus the only things that break are the axles in the front now and then when my bad driving crashes it hard and the chassis is a bit worn which it would do. And I've just needed to change the bearings now and then. Also I once damaged a plastic front upright once. Thats it in 3 years of knocks and bad driving.

Just trying to prove that Xray perfrom well (Just look at there results) and mine has lasted VERY well. Have fun making your jumps and I hope I was helpful.

took some off the carriers,dont recommend unless anyone feels confident in Dremeling there parts..but worth it in the end....

I've had my XB for three months now,and so far I'm quite impressed. I've owned a dozen Rc buggy's since the 80's, five of those nitro 1/8 including the Xb. I've driven ofna comp, violator, jammin,Kyosho, crono, and I find the geometrical design of these buggies very similar, and drive very similar[depending of course on driver setup]. However at this point my interest before buying the XB was quality of the parts. X-ray may be new , but huddy ,and Serpent parts are not. I wanted the best and I believe that X-ray parts quality are second too none. Its one thing to be a good driver,and have a good handeling Buggy but if your Buggy's parts break ,someone else will be in first place and not you..
