XRAY - Model racing cars

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone would have any ideas as to by I'm getting interference problems at my circuit.

Quite often when I go past one part of the circuit, where a metail door is in the wall, my steering and throttle glitch very badly - sometimes sending me into the wall

With my other car (non-Xray) this doesn't happen - I'm using the same crystals as with the other car and have even tried changing the frequency, but nothing works.

I run on a counter-clockwise circuit and my rx unit is on the side of the car which is closest to the metal door when I pass it. Has anyone else suffered from this kind of problem and is there a solution?

Also, are you running a FET choke on the servo (if ita a 7.2v one)?

Not at the moment. But where would it be positioned?

Mark, one of our younger racers was having an interferance problem but only on the back stretch of our local track. I gave him a Schotky diode for his motor and the problem went away.
Just a Thought. Value it as I don't many of these!

You could also unwind the coil of wires one from the esc and the other to servo, by having coiled wire it acts like an old fashion crystal radio, which can give interferance try laying them flat, you can fold them over and zippy clip together,
But 1st check what Tonyv wrote about your reciver

Hmmm, missed that, but you are right coils can cause interference as they generate a magnetic field.
