Help XB TQ experts,

I have had my XB TQ for a month now and just blown a way by the driving performance of this Buggy. My question is, how do you remedy the front outer steel eccentric bushings from turning inside the arms. Would lube or or grease help? Thanks….

Just get the version 2 eccentric bushings. They come with a little groove that the screw head sits in and they completely eliminate the problem. It's the only must have upgrade on the TQ and they don't break the bank either.

Thanks Nitroracer, Never mind the last post. I see them at the tiltyard website. I have to get a set of the V2.

V2 bushings have been out for a looong while now. Definitely a must have.

I found that reaming out the caster blocks helped a bit since they hold the hinge pins pretty tight, and then when you get some dust inbetween the pin and the steel bushing it binds up and trys to spin. I used some CA on them as well, which helped a bit. They still turned though, so I just gave up and got the V2 bushings.

XRAY PUT THE V2 BUSHINGS IN THE KIT!!! PLEASE!!!

No kidding. The original metal eccentric bushings in the outer front arms are the only poorly designed pieces in the kit. Everything else in the kit works exactly as it should.

V2 eccentric bushings are a definite must have upgrade and don't cost all that much so I think they should be included in the kit.

I stacked a 3mm toothed lockwasher under the screw, seems to be working pretty good. I can see where the lockwasher dug into the bushing and arm ever so slightly. So far so good.

Another thing to add to the next consumables list (V2 bushings).

As stated in another thread, before the V2's came out, I used to put a small dab of shoe goo on the back of them so they wouldn't rotate but were still easily removed when you want to change your setup. But the V2's are the snaz!
