XRAY - Model racing cars

hey there bermy-BOY i aid to a lot of things in these posts and i was just joking and trying to get a little laugh and you took it personal . so if you dont like it -so be it - quit worring about me so back to the weight deal- i dont have to worry about it cause i race at an indoor track but ive heard if you adjust your sway bars in so the car wont lift as much on the jumps then you will be lower so you wont have to deal w/ the wind. maybe this might help?

I can't see how sway bars could limit downtravel.

if you run the sway all the way out to the end you get the most travel now try to set them in as far as you can and look what happens. now the travel is limited. but i dont know how this will effect the rest of the track? but i know this -you cant be making up time in the air

I can see if you mounted the ends all the way in but man that would cause handling problems, maybe. I will have to remember that and give it a try.

If your LIGHT car is getting kicked all over in the rough, your suspension is too stiff!!

At the RC PRO FINALS in Orlando this past weekend there was a whoop section at the bottom of a mini hill that you ran into fast.

I worked on the suspension of an XB8 at this race. The car started at 45 front, 35 rear wieghing in at 4 oz over min. weight. It was getting jacked all over the place. We went down to 35 front, 30 rear w/1.4 straight pistons and the car was butter through the whoops.....HUGE, HUGE change in performance.

Don't forget with a light car like the XRAY you will need to run a lighter suspension oil package than in the M and K cars. Don't be scared to run light oils and big pistons if needed.
