XRAY - Model racing cars

Hi all i'm seriously considering buying a T2 to replace my 05 but don't want to make the same mistake i made when i bought my 05, which was that i bought it a few weeks before the t2 came along, are there any plans for X-ray to bring out a new car in the not to distant furture and if so will it be a t2 with some enhancements that current owners can upgrade to or will it be a totally new car as with the 05/t2 change.

Sorry Dion there is no definitive answer to that. No announcements have been made and I don't expect any to be made in the near future.

We can off course speculate a bit. Experience shows that XRay brings out a new version about once a year, usually around the December - February time frame. Moreover next week there are the Worlds in Italy which usually means some new parts will surface specifically for the Worlds which may make it to production later. Should XRay win I am sure a Worlds edition would not be far around the corner...

thanks Tony i don't think i can wait any longer especially when i keep hearing all the good reports about the t2 and seeing a few of the guys at my local club going faster since getting the chassis. One more question i've got a full set of springs for my 05 i bought the ultimate and additional spring sets, will these still work with the t2 or will i need new springs?

The springs are same for T1 and T2 cars, so you can use the springs from T1FK'05 also on T2.

All I can tell you is that you won't be disappointed if you get yourself a T2. It is an excellent car. The 05 is also very good, but in my opinion the T2 really is the better car in just about every aspect.

BTW, in the T2 FAQ thread you will find a full cross reference table for all spare parts between the T1 and T2. Like Brano said the T1 springs will also fit the T2.
