LOL, your hunch would be correct, well close anyways.

I have the Sportwerks hauler bag, wich is the same as the TM bag except for a few different design changes (TM has plastic bins, center divider, colors and logo's) but otherwise the same manufacture makes the sportwerks bag and the TM bag. They sure are a handy bag with the tool holder right on top and a good bit of storage

The 1/8 scale TM board fits the setup board compartment like a glove, so the large Hudy board should fit not problem.

Now that my Sportwerks bag is stuffed full, I'm looking at getting another one (Hudy Hauler bag???) Someone needs to make a hauler bag the size of a small desk, then I would be good to go, (due to the fact that I usually pack a hobby shop with me everywhere I go).

Ok I think I will go with the TM setup board for the setup system because its a little bigger. Now the XRAY one comes with a decal. What is the decal used for and does it work with buggies or is just something that would apply to touring cars?

Would I also need droop guages or ride height guages or does the HUDY setup system already measure that?

Havent bought or used the decal. I believe it is mostly used for track width. Probably will get that soon

You would have to purchase the droop guages, ect, separately., as well as the decal. (decal is sold seperately, unless you buy the all-in-one setup systems for onroad)

The Hudy setup system measures toe in/out, caster, camber, camber gain, and steering symmetry.

Top quality stuff, super smooth and easy to read. Comes with a nice little manual that expaines all the alignment stuff as well as the order in how you should adjust certain settings.

Try the droop gauge that is available with the Mugen Prospec kit. The ones that Hudy makes for the on road applications won't work for off road to my knowledge since they aren't tall enough.

Ok thanks. I'll check out the Mugen droop gauge.

just purchase a 107701 (or 702) and a 107713 from Hudy and you have the perfect combo tool for measuring downstop ;-)

Ok can someone from Hudy, XRAY, or RC America confirm whether or not you can use the Hudy droop guages and support blocks and ride height gauges on the XB8?

I've heard different things from different people on this forum and others and no one has confirmed whether they are actually big enough to use on offroad 8th scale cars from actual experience. It seems to me that they would be too small.

If you follow the setup sheet and put the car on a pair of starburst wheels (my favorite 1/8 scale wheels) you will find that the max front droop is about 16-18mm unless you machine the chassis for more clearence. The hudy ride height gauges are only 15mm tall so unless you stack them on top of another gauge they won't be tall enough. I just like the Mugen gauge (only thing I even use that is made by them) since it starts at 15mm and goes up from there to 25mm. Someone loaned me one at the track when I first got the car and setup system so I bought one for myself. If Hudy would make a proper gauge for off road use I would promply ditch my mugen gauge (hint, hint Mario).
Just my two cents.

Ok then I'll definitely go with the Mugen gauge. But I was thinking about using my digital calipers and the starburst wheels. I was just thinking, doesn't more droop mean you will get a lower number? You measure from the arm down to the ground right? So the more droop, the lower the arm drops, and the lower the number, correct?

Oh and can you use the Mugen gauge to get a ride height reading too?
