XRAY - Model racing cars

Hello,
I’m interested in mounting a M18 full option, with a mamba 5400 kv kit and 3 cells lipo packs.
I will run it on a classic 1/10th on-road track but i also want to be able to make drift on a small asphalt track traced in my court (10x12 meters).
I think that the Xray M18 + the mamba kit is the best way to be able to do both.

I do not know how to proceed to mount it for the lowest price.

Do I have to buy a M18 RTR kit, then to change :
- The stock 180 power kit for the mamba 5400 kv kit,
- The stock chassis for a XRA381151 conversion set or a XRA381111 graphite chassis (is this last one ok for the mamba kit ?),
- The stock diff for 2 XRA385001 alu ball diff,
- The stock drive shaft for 2 XRA385201 alu drive axles sets,
- The stock suspension blocks for XRA382252 and XRA382262 alu parts,
- ………
and to keep the stock tx, rx and servo.

Do I have to buy a M18 4WD shaft drive 1/18 micro car (XRA380000), and to change the same things as if I start with the RTR kit ? This solution avoid to buy the stock 180 power kit for nothing, but i will have to buy separately the tx, the rx, a body and to paint it, ……. It will be necessary nevertheless to throw the stock composite chassis and the various plastic parts which will not support very well the increase of power...

Do i have to start from nothing and to buy each part separately ?
The chassis, the mamba power unit, the alu ball diff, the alu drive axles, the body holder, the gearbox cases, ….
If I choose this solution, I’m sure that I will miss parts, like screws, plates, nuts, small plastics parts…
Where can I find a map of the car, with the description and the reference of each part.

Or the best Solution : Is it possible to get a M18 4WD shaft drive 1/18 micro car full option kit directly from Xray ? For exemple, Align is selling a Superior Edition version for it’s T-Rex 450 EP helicopter kit, full carbon and alu options ( http://www.align.com.tw/shop/product_in ... cts_id=826 or http://www.align.com.tw/shop/product_in ... ts_id=1108 ).

Why a RTR kit when you will throw away some electric parts ?

Just buy the plain kit and a good transmitter and build it with the parts you want.

On a outside track with a mamba I sugest to start with:
- front oneway
- 50 shore tire in front and 35 or 40 in rear
- front alu driveshafts
- servosaver

In another staduim you can go to a
- carbon chassis
- rear balldiff
- rear alu driveshafts

You may be able to find a M18 Graphite Edition from an on-line retailer that will ship to your area. It will help in lowering overall costs. In the US, Stormer Hobbies carries different colored kits for $135USD.

You don't have to upgrade all of that out of the box, you can upgrade overtime. If you can find the #380001b or #380001S graphite special edition, that seems to fit what you are after closest. Otherwise the stock kit will get you up and running once you get it built and the electronics.

The graphite editions are limited, so you might contact the to see if they can get one to your hobby shop.
