XRAY - Model racing cars

hi all

my new t2 is as noisy if not noiseyer than a shaft drive car round a track i have completely stripped the car but it all seems ok!
it sounds like a very tight gear mesh but it isnt. it seemsto get noiseyer as you go smaller on the pinion i am running 18.84 all my pinions are RW racing i wonderd if they are not fully compatible with the Xray spur gear

any ideas anyone....

did you check if both pinion and spur are of the same pitch?

I assume it makes the noise all the time eg down the straight and round corners?

Does the car run free with no pinion on?

I would try a different spur gear and pinion, purhaps borrow it off someone else, that way you can check that they are ok.
