What is a gurney strip as on the quick reference chart for handling supplied with the car info. Also why does this chart not include multiflex settings?

Sorry if these questions have been asked before did do asearch and it came up with 68 matches! after ten minutes of reading through long threads i could find no reference.

Hi John,

The multi flex is very hard to put on a quick reference table, by making the car more flexible doesn't neccesarily mean that it is going to understeer more out of corners etc, the effect of the flex changes in different conditions.

The flex doesn't fit into the table because a more flexible car will not do one specific thing like understeer out of corners, I find that it changes the car throughout the corner and changes the grip levels.

Flex advice for foams on carpet wouldn't work for rubber tyres on asphalt either.

Hope you understand this

Jonny

hi, if you're having oversteer put a differential in the front. the t2 loves it on asphalt. make sure you run the rear diff medium loose and the front medium tight. do this with the standard kit setup and your car will be on rails.

beat my personal best laptime by 0.60 sec first time out with the t2 and these settings. had a yokomo bd before, thought that was bloody good then got the t2 AMAZING.

nice work xray

In New Zealand our biggest meet here is the Hamilton Indor Drivers Series.
I have an Xray T2 and I want to run 2 classes, Stock and prostock.
I want to run the same spur so I dont need to change it and just change the motor and the pinion.
At the moment I am running 68spur and 28pinion for stock which is 4.13 for stock this fits ok, but will a 68spur and a 22 or 18 pinion be too small for pro stock? Please help.
What is the hightest and lowest number that the pinion and spur combonation can to in the T2 till there is no room to fit any bigger or any smaller, ie. 70spur+ 30pinion= 100 but this might not fit etc......
For stock i neeed a ratio ranging from 4-4.2 and in prostock a ratio ranging from 5.5-6.5.

Any one know the max and min number r have and suggestions for combonations?.

Thank, Wallace_Xraycin T2

I had my first race outdoors yesterday and the setup was almost basic
i had spool in front and all the others basic, the problem i has is in corner entry i oversteer and mid to exit i push, i ask one of the top racer what should i do to get the car from pushing he told me to use less caster the only caster blocks i have is the 4deg so i decide to use the lower pivot end in the front of the A arm to decrease the caster it work a little better
but on one of the corner it had a few bumps and the car was all over the place any suggestion.

ps. i have my setup posted.
