Sorry and no offense, but I can't agree with you.
I drove both FK'05 and T2. Yes it took a while to learn all the possibilities of the T2 (as with the '05) to get the right setup. And I'm still working on it. But with the T2 I was immediately able to improve my performence.
I drove the car on thight / technical / medium grip and wide / fast / low grip and wide / fast / medium grip and in all conditions I was able in 3-5 runs to find a nice stable setup with great steering respons.
And for the weight: My car with all equipment in weights around 1510 gr. and that is with:
- Battery bar
- Motor guard,
- ALU rear upights
- Personal transponder
- Team Orion Personal Transponder
- LRP Q2 esc
- Spektrum receiver
- Team Orion V2 motor
- Kopropo 2143 servo
I even had to add 10 gr. extra to be on the safe side.
If your statement would have been:
The amount of choices for setup is higher for the T2 than for the FK'05. And that is making the T2 more of a handfull in respect to finding the right setup.
I would have agreed with you. But that is where it is all about. Loads of choices and making the right ones.
But the other way around. The FK'05 is absolutely a very competative and capable car. It's all about personal like and dislike.
That the FK'05 is still very competative is shown by the fact that Bart Wubben won the first round of the Dutch Nationals with a FK'05 with a proven setup closely followed by a couple of T2's
