XRAY - Model racing cars

I have a Futaba FM radio R133 Receiver and A Hitec HS5645MG servo. The servo instructions state NOT TO USE NiCD AA batteries. Do they refer to rechargeable type Nicd??? I am using standard Duracell AA batteries from the store that you throw away when they are used. Is this OK for a Digital servo, or is something going to become damaged using these batteries? i believe they mean do not use NiCd AA batteries in your receiver. 4 AA batteries do not last very long as receiver batteries and digital servos are even more demanding on the batteries. They are most likely just trying to prevent your car from running away due to dead receiver batteries.

They probably mean don't use 4 Nicad AA batteries in the little receiver case that 4 AA regular batteries go in.

Nicads are 1.2volts while nonrechargeables are 1.5 volts. When using Nicads you need to use 5 of them instead of 4 or the voltage will be too low and you can't use the supplied receiver case for that.

If you can hook up a 5 cell Nicad or Nimh pack to your receiver then you will be fine.

Every digital servo I have had has said dont use normal AA bateries. Think it is becuase that normal AA batteries have a rapid voltage drop and dont kep acceptable voltage as long as what a NimH or nicad battery does.
