XRAY - Model racing cars

hallo all x ray lovers and cracks,
last weekend i drove my xray xb8 tq for the first time. great impression overall, used the set up that came with the manual for european tracks
771 and had the sensation that when coming out of the corners the car launched itself. used the xray oils, also witch brand of oils do u pros use because i saw in this forum that the xray oils are very heavy.

Try Mugen 5-5-5 and see what you think . Should be a good starting point; make small adjustments to the rear diff oil and you'll get big results.

5 in the rear diff? how come that the xray can take as much as 5 in the rear. in my M-car i always had 1 in the rear if i went over 1 it was a disaster. will give it a go and see what happens

No problem. I run 3-3-5 and it's awesome, might not be the best for Euro type tracks though. 5-5-3 might do well to start with, and if you want some more rear traction, bump it to 4 and drop the front to 4, so 4-5-4. Let me know what you think .

halo john b and the rest of the RAY fans think i have to do a lot of testing with my RAY, with my M-car i figured the diffs out pretty quick but with XRAY i have been looking at a lot of set up sheets posted in this forum but can not see the logic in some of the high numbers. in the M-car for example i ran 551-571-771-7101 in this last one i found the best love connection for me. if i went higher in the rear it pushes the car a lot with all respect for XRAY. i just wanted a better car and yes i found it in XRAY i just have to find the love connection between the diffs( for dry, smooth, poor traction- european tracks). have to say that u guys, XRAY and all who helps out in this forum are exellent because seems like over here everything is top secret
