I'm about to become a proud T2 driver (on order) and I'll be running at two local tracks. One is a shorter indoor course on carpet that I'll have lots of time on and there are other X-RAY enthusiasts there who I can ask for advice.
However the other is a longer outdoor course on parking lot asphalt which is set up and torn down per event so I'll have much less time to tune on it (plus everyone there seems to be running Associated at the moment so nobody to ask about X-RAY setups).
The outdoor track looks like this, that back straight is seriously long (the nitro guys hit second gear about halfway down it), and it's driven "clockwise" as you look at this image:
This is in central Virginia, and temperatures on most of our race weekends range between 75F and 95F. The parking lot is well surfaced, but does have some irregularities and slopes here and there.
I've been into R/C for a long time but don't know much about the more "famous" tracks out there so when I browse the setups on this site I'm not sure which ones might be a good starting place for me. Can anyone drop me some hints? Thanks a bunch in advance - from reading through lots of other forum posts here I've seen that both the folks from X-RAY and the community in general around here is very cool. Happy to be joining you all!
