At the moment the current XRAY stock chassis has proved to work great in all conditions the team was running. Using the XRAY Multi-Flex Technology you can easily adjust from soft up to stiff chassis without having to buy any other chassis or top decks. There may be some extreme cases when something different may work a bit better, but at this moment we have been talking about the current stock chassis and top deck which work absolutely perfectly in almost all typical and standard club level or even national level racing.

What does a solid chassis have to do with it hitting the carpet?

I'm not concerned about a solid chassis, I've tried everything and my chassis still shows signs of touching the carpet. It has compound on the edges when it comes off the track.[/img]

I can't see how your post has any relevance to this thread. The thread is about a soild chassis for the T2.

We race with Alberto and have the same problem he does, he thinks a solid chassis will help, maybe it will, maybe there's something else, I'm not sure what the solution is.

Ok, had a look at it. I suggest you have a look at this setup from Paul Lemieux for reference: .

Some key differences between your setup and Paul's setup that may contribute to your problem are:

- You are running the front arms in the lower position which gives more chassis roll at the front (low roll center)

- Also your front arms are lower and have pro-squat to boot, more chassis roll and also the rear of the car will bottom out quicker due to the pro-squat (the rear seems to be where your car is bottoming out the most!

- If you measured your downstop setting under the arms then 4mm is really not enough. Paul is running 1.5mm droop (something like 6mm downstop or thereabouts) at the rear and 2mm droop at the front (see his comments at the bottom) which reduces both weight transfer between front and rear as well as between left and right. The latter reducing chassis roll further.

- Paul is running 5mm ride height while you are running 4.5mm

I think these are the things you need to do some testing with. Hope this helps!

Actually it's the front of the car that rubs the most, the rear of the chassis is clean.
I will change the setup and get back, we wouldn't be on the track till the the 23rd if its open
Thanks for the info and I will pass it along to Alberto when I see him, but I'm sure he will read it first
