my point exactly! check the box on both kits (XB8 & XB8R)
also, if you look at the XB8TQ site's menu, you'll see a spec. link and it will say 306mm. So am I, or are we being misled due to typo errors? Mario or anybody, can you please clear this up for me and the rest of us who figured it out?

Well, I think it has to be a typo. I've had the original arms AND the long arms side by side, and there is definately a difference. Just like nolec5 said, they are 1 mm longer.

And seeing as the TQ and XB8R both come with the longer arms, one would asume that the XB8R and TQ are 2mm wider ( 1mm on each side) than the original XB8.
Exactly like nolec5 described.

Gotta be just a typo. 8)

Well, from my Mugen MBX5 running days, track width (front of the car) is a huge tunning option. It was very easy to adjust the track width on the Mugen due to the pillow ball setup. And I usually liked a narrower setup for more steering.

This is pretty much what I've experienced with the shorter vs. longer arms. I get a lot more initial turn in with the shorter arms (shorter track width) but the car is also a lot less stable.

Now the main question that I have at this point is how much does the "hardness" of the arms play a part in the handling characteristics? I guess we will have to wait and see how the long "hard" arms feel once they are available.

Personally, I think I've liked running the shorter arms better. The reason being it gives me more initial turn in. But I also have NOT had any problems with them breaking, even in the colder winter months like some people have indicated. I really like adjusting the track width of the car with the optional hubs (+1's and +2's) if I need the car to be more stable, mainly b/c it is much quicker to change out the hubs then it is to change out the arms.
