If you've swapped the xray supplied reciever pack, just wanting to know what you guys are running and what's working well for you.

Anyone had any problems with the supplied pack dying after a few cycles?

Thanks

Mine started out week like 600. But now on this last charge I got almost 1200. I ran three 5 minute qualifiers with a 5 minute warmup before each. Then ran a 5 minute warmup and then a 20 minute main without ever touching the pack. Thats pretty good!

My pack's been working fine, even from the 1st time out drove 9-10 tanks and was still fine.
I'm not bosting, just stating that not all the packs were duds.
I only trickle charge it though.
I asume xray are replacing the bad ones though, right?

I have two Futaba digital servos a s9351 and an s9350 to put in my XB8. Futaba wants you to use NiCD batteries with their digital servos, why I don't know, but is any one else in this situation? Any recommendations for a NiCD receiver pack that will fit?

Tower has a Futaba pack 6V NiCD flat- about the same size as the one in the kit but it's only 600 MaH....as a guess if you guys are getting 1 hr to 1.5 hr. with the 1200 maybe this 600 will get 30 to 45 min?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks all

i'm not sure how long a 600mah cell would last using digital servos as they use more current than conventional servos.
but i have used NiMh packs on both my MBX5 & K2 with Futaba digis with no problems at all
plus a good thing about a NiCad is although for the same size cells it has less capacity but it is also a lot lighter & has the added benefit of you being able to just Nuke it on a fast charge between races without worrying about temps like you have to with NiMhs
