fk05 shocks

hi,

i am looking for any tips as i have read the xray FAQ and i still dont seem to be able to rebuild all my shocks! on my fk05 they have the aluminium shock bodies too.

if theres anyone out there that is superb at building shocks then please pm me and let me know if you can do them for me ?! i would pay!!!

i very strongly recommend that you replace the rubber membrane on top of the oil when you rebuild them as they swell up and make it quiet hard to screw the top back on and can result in you damaging them anyway.

well basically im finding some shocks are than others to screw the top caps on resulting in leaking!
also cant get all shocks to have the same rebound and the strength as some shocks are harder than others!

basically if you follow the instruction very carefully after a few attepmts you will get them pretty much equal. i also suggest you leave them to bleed for at least 24hr. it took me a couple of weeks to get mine right

if the end caps are goin on really well and the threads have been lined up but they become really stiff towards the end would you say to replace them! also they dont screw down so there sittin on the lip on the top of the aluminium shock body
