XRAY - Model racing cars

Hi Everyone

im about to change from my old faithful to a xray.

i have the pick of two secound hand chassies

a T1FK Evo 2
and a T1FK 04

which would be the better of the two? as they both seem very simular

any advice would be great

Find Yourself an FK05 if you can.Trust me,you will like it.

curently a fk04 holds are track record so i wouldn't shoot them down so quickly. the fk 05 was difficult to gear corectly and you had more options as such on the 04 plus i belive its a better handleing car. we still run evo 2's 04's and 2 t2's only 1 05 and he parked it. loved my 04 any way go for that and get racing.

I'm not negative about the '04 and yes the '04 is easier to setup, because there is less to change . But with the 05 you can more out of it and with the T2 even more:).
And I can't understand a gearing issue with the '05. The '04 had 1,77 and the '05 1,7 internal gearing. So if you use a 26 pinion with the '04 you should use a 25 pinion with the '05

i was refering to 64dp gears and how a 128 will not fit the fact you can't use larger gears alone limits your choices. i love the t2 there is more room for gearing than the 05. in reagrds to the 05 maybe more to change isn't always better,

Yep big spurs That's an issue. I never go bigger as 84 (maybe 87) so didn't thought of that

Out of the two I would go with the FK04. Sure the 05 is faster but also trickier to setup right whereas the FK04 is almost allways very easy to drive. So is the EVO2 in fact, but with todays batteries and motors I think that with the EVO2 you will have more trouble to dial in enough steering. That's why I'd go with the 04.
