After setting up different T2`s at our local club we figured out that the rear toe readings are different from left to right on some cars.
I understood that x-ray dumped the old clip system for rear toe setting in order to get more accurate readings. This is clearly not the case on most (surprisingly not all!) T2`s.
Could one of you guys tell us if this is a tolerance problem of the composite uprights or something else? On my personal ride it turns out that there is a 0,5 degree difference between left and right. Not very x-ray like, and definately a step back from the T1 system.

Could you please follow that one up?

I´ve spent abt four hours yesterday but can not get the rear toe even. Browsing thru another forum and checking other cars at my local club shows that this is not a fluke.
It keeps me bothering because the car will drive like a Dackel dog walks. The rear will steer a little bit to one side and we will have to correct with the front wheels resulting in the car driving a little bit sideways.
I´ve measured the toe without any shims as well with the same result. 0,5 deg difference.

You ever thought that your setup gauges might be out in some way?

...only on the T2? My old X-ray and my Serpent 710 is spot on...

Well, there's 1 degree of slop through the bearings, so go figure. Could also be runout tolerances of the axle/hub.
