I think that because the step is so huge, customer take-up will be far quicker than normal transitions. And, I've read that instead of the usual 25 cycles before performance evaporates on todays 3300 and 3700s - this will go up to 200 cycles with LiPo cells. The economics for the customer are fantastic. I just hope that the industry does not cynically hold them back like they have done to brushless motors.

With 3 of those Lipo packs you can do a hole (modified ) race. No need to take a charger with you, no power supply, just charge the lipo's at home and take them with you.

I have seen the advantage so I do believe it, but in ( Efra/Roar/Ifmar) racing there has to be a mayor rule change. I think also Brushless is on it's way to: some major companies are getting to it and will release a new speedo and motors in the near future. Also in this some rule changes are needed but i'am sure the above governing bodies will investigate this.

I don't believe brushless was held back, but just not good enough to get along with the brushed motors and speedo's. In my opinion it won't take long I feel a change coming up in the next year !!!

Spoke with Novak technicians a few weeks ago, and they are soon to release abrand new Novak brushless motor system and ESC's w/ to be used w/ LiPO batteries. THe new LRP Quantum 3 ESc and brushless motor have already posted that they will also cater LiPO power for 2006. Novak engener revealed that team driver Atsushi Hara and others are practicing and trying out LiPo power and California legislator are close to banning sub-c batteriy technology due to its harm to nature, etc, and for this reason companies are quickly exploring and looking forward to LiPo power...
