Back to todays action, a long day with many heats and
lot's of action. It was soon clear that the target was
to turn in laps around 13 seconds and preferably lower,
and a total of 23 laps in app. 5:08, that was a good
target time early on. During the afternoon the pace was
increased and now the fast guys were making 24 laps.
All focus was of course on Hara and Masami, but it was
actually some of the European drivers who managed to
put in good runs first. Englands Andrew Moore was one
of the first to position himself on top when he piloted his
Pro4 in a superb run to the finish line making it 24
laps. From the Tamiya team Denmarks Steen Graversen
was also on a mission towards the top as he positioned
himself in the front group of fast racers. With the
track being faster in the late afternoon it was in the
last round of controlled practice that the fastest runs
were made.
