XRAY - Model racing cars

yes i did think about that but as i have had xray always i thought i would put it to the team drivers first as i would really like to stick with xray if poss (maybe they have raced stock with xray) ?

I´ve run Stock a lot of times and also my team buddy Thomas Günsel who is current german national stock champion.
What is better on a drive shaft car?
The only thing I can imagine is that the drive train is running easier, means no drag.
But i´t moves more freely without load. With load things my change.
Let´s say it moves more freely.
I think that the advantage of the drive train is a bit.

But and this is a BIG BUT !
The motor is always on one side. Ok weight distribution should be ok.
When you run in a motor and press start without holding it properly it starts to move and will properly roll of your tabel.
This force createt by the motor goes in a drive shaft car from left to right.
In a belt car forward and back.

Forward and back it´s in my opinion not the problem, but side to side is.

So even for stock racing I´ll prefer a belt car because it´s not the last bit of drive train efficency that makes a winner, in my opinion its a good balanced car that workes so well that you can only thing about the race and not thinking half about what will my car do wehen I´m accelerating out of the next turn.

thanks for your advice the main thing i can notice looking at some of the shaft drive cars is that they seem a bit punchier could this be down to no pick up time delay in the belt?

shaft drive will normally give a snappier/punchier initial acceleration but you also get an amount of torque steer which can lead the drive to think he has a tweaked chassis.

for me belt is best! less to go wrong and easier to set up (no back lash shimmin needed)
