XRAY - Model racing cars

Hello,

I'm new to 1/10th touring car racing, I raced off road electric buggies around 18 years ago when they were just taking off here in the Uk and I've had very little to do with R/C car racing since. I've now decided to try my hand again and am starting to race 1/10th touring cars, and a number of the experienced racers at my local club suggested X-Ray, hence here I am.

I am currently trying to fit mini pin tyres to some dish hube which currently have rubber T27 tyres on them. They have been glued on very securely and I'm having real problems getting them off. I've tried painting acetone (nail varnish remover) around the bead between the the tyre and the rim front and back, and done the same thing with Isopropyl Alcohol, but neither seems to be helping greatly.

Do I need to get a little more copious with the amount of solvent I'm using, rather than painting it on actually immerse the wheel and tyre in it, or do I need to leave it longer, or is there something better for doing this job than either of the chemicals I've used.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

i boil mine

i put them in a pan and fill it with water then leave them on full heat till the water is boiling and then when the water has boiled turn the heat down to simmer for around 10 mins............this usually works for me
