8) i wonder what optional parts will come first. I hope the alum out drives, because the stock will not hold up to the faster motors.

NuClear has some pics here of what currently listed (see OPTION next to name). I assume more its on the way. NuClear already has the aluminum motor mount. Mario has already mentioned about a 6 cell hold down being a future option.

I would safely assume metal universals (thats what you meant with outdrives I hope) are in da works.

I must admit I was dubious the stock UJ's would hold up to a Mamba 8000 set up but so far it's holding up fine. Would like the ally driveshafts but only if the stock ones break.

Here is my wishlist for hopups...

Standard Hopups:

Adjustable Turnbuckles all around, metal universals or cvd type joints, hard teflon anodized shock bodies, different pistons and spring choices, metal pivot balls, Adjustable camber upper arms, 6-cell holddown.

Now these are my err umm "special" hopups dream:

1. Gear Cover. Something to enclose the pinion and spur. Lexan, whatever. I know many of us would pay a good sum for this godsend (including if this needed a new hop-up chassis). This would also allow you to majorly 1-up the competitions offering.

2. (Dont Laugh). A full slipper clutch. Really though. Given how over powered these vehicles can be easily. I (and hopefully a large consensus) would be willing to pay a fair amount (50$-60$) for something like that. Even though I realize it would require a new spur type, driveshaft, and possibly drive gear along with the other new parts needed. I know top end and torque would be reduced slightly. The trade off would be though the ability to now introduce slip off the line and out of the corner versus using a diff (big no-no). It would result in a truck that felt more planted. That and it would reduce the gear backlash to the pinion and forward/aft.


**. Suggestion: Upgrade the aluminum motor mount to have 280 spaced holes also. Many clubs and tracks in North America limit motors to this size.

Ill second that, but with STOCK offset versus that.. Ugh!

(let me add to mine.. with the metal shocks.. user rebuildable o-rings)

Oh, and some of those new hard spur gears in our size would be a blessing!

gearbox cover is very important. I can't bash around on dirt. tiny bits of sand/stone are enough to ruin the spur and pinion.
