Clutch set ups for the Xb8!!!

I'm still using the werks clutch for now. I use the carbon shoes and the medium spring. I am 1/2 turn in from flush on the nut. The only issue is that you have to do a good job threadlocking the night or it will tighten up making the car impossible to drive. I've been toying with the idea of trying the stock xray clutch again but will have to drill the shoes as someone suggested here. :roll:

Do most of you use carbon shoes instead of aluminums? Which seem to last longer

i have always favored the mugen composites.... but i have been liking the 1.71 xray shoes alot.

Alu clutch shoes, xray light/mugen, are better than carbon clutch shoe. But, one thing I don't like about alu shoes is that they tend to wear the flywheel pin fast.

I have been running Mugen and Xray alloy shoes with .9,1 and 1.1 springs the engine is very lively even with .9 springs but bogs down after 10 minutes stipped to find the springs loose tension. With 1 and 1.1 springs I get a bit better life but they still go very early.

This is getting to be very annoying due to the fact I have to change the clutch after every meeting and it's burning a big hole in my wallet.
