XRAY - Model racing cars

Unless Im mistaken, I can already see that the wheels havent been corrected, so unless it has alternative outdrives in the box, the huge selection of aftermarket Rims and Mounted foams are not feasable.

So ask your hobby shop to order a few extra pairs of the rims! Also, I dont have a tire truer to mount and make my own foams. .

I can't understand such an oversite. Especially given that Xray specifically followed the standard in on-road with the inner rims on the m18.

Which is too bad, I really wanted to get those hex adapters that fit the 18th truck rim standard. They allow you to run 1/10th tires that use the hex size like in 1/10th Sedans. My friend hooked his truck up with 1/10th sedan tires, and man, it was on rails at the carpet track!

I just buy it and it's a realy great car.





testing is well so far. I drive MAMBA25 6800kV, 11T/54T, 6-cell LRP VTEC1200 and car is almost flying

Thanks for the pic Borcy. Looks like it has no gear cover either (still hard to tell). Please run it through a gravely surface and tell us your results with pebbles on the spur or not.

There is something metal shining on the the spur? Is that a after market gear retainer collar or something else.

Are the ball diiffs put together like the front gear diff on the m18? I see that lock tool to the side. Do the ball diffs still have 2 ball bearings like the regular m18 ball diff? Are they at least replaceable with bearings if they have just bushings (hope that ITS NOT just a plastic outdrive to plastic outdrive like the RC18T ).

So since the 7 months or so since the prototype was first shown - what has changed?

EDIT: Just a thought on the rims and the unstandard mounting system. Do you have any other regular 18th truck rims you can compare Borcy? Can you see if the wheel offset is the same? Looking at the pictures, Im wondering if maybe the M18Ts rim is deeper over the kingpin (which would reduce wheel scrub)!
