How on earth do you get the diff out, by only loosening the top deck screws? To get it out, the entire side bulkhead (usually left side) needs to come off the car.
Lets see... 1 screw for the top deck, 1 through the shock tower, 3 along the bottom, remove the shock for access, that's 5 screws and a major pain in the !##
Now don't get me wrong... I'm not trying to trash Xray. Diff access (and spur access on the new car) are the only complaints I have regarding these cars. All of the other details that go into Xray keep me a loyal racer... but as Mario himself stated here... there is always room for improvement.

I should also mention, that at larger races, pulling a diff out has never been a problem for time. There is always time between heats to work on the car. But my local racing is fairly small in comparison. (usually 5 to 6 heats per round) so use of time becomes very important.
