XRAY - Model racing cars

hello all. well my xb8 is on its way. what should i look out for when putting it together or once its together and im on the track. some guy told me about some problem about the front shock shafts. i read about the radio tray. any thing that can give me a heads up, thanks.
hey hudy!!! went racing this weekend and it was about 12 die hard K3 drivers that made the switch to the xb8. so you must be doing something right.

I think there is nothing special you have to take care off. I am not aware about any shock problems at all neithe radio tray problems. I suggest to read the FAQ thread and spend some time to reading the latest threads on this forum. Theres absolutley nothing to watch out for !! The kit goes together Beautifully !!!! I cant stress that enough. The fit is perfect with evry part. When I got the kit I bought shock shafts for spares as I usually bent them on my other buggys, but I still have the same set. This thing is indestructible and I break nothing on it. And the wear factor is simploy amazing !! Your gonna love it !! Do some research on the setup site and get the thing setup to your track, becuase the baseline setup is kind of funky. First thing when you build the diffs, leave out only the tiny o-rings that go on the ends of the spider gears. There will be 4 total on each front and center diff. And build the diffs with 5k-5k-3k. Thats a great starting point. When I say thake out the orings, dont make the mistake of taking out the two orings that seal the diff on the bottom of the cup and bottome of the gear. Leave those in and grease them for sealing purposes. Just follow the manuel and you will be flying in no time !! If you need help , this forum is great for response and help. everyone on here is awesome. Try joors setups as they are usualy always workable for any type and skilled driver. Hes great and gives a lot of help to us buggy guys.

dxray, I see your from Maryland. Will you be racing in Conneticut at all ? IF so my setup sheet for Northeastern Tracks seems to work on most of the Northeastern tracks up in our area. Go to this link

then go to Michael Giorgi - baseline setup for Noprtheastern Tracks. Its a great starting point. It started out as David Joors most recent baseline setup (thanks David, He gots most of the credit) then it was fine tuned to our tracks up here in the northeast. Download the file and built your kit with that.

Yeah, start with my setup, its perfect for those tracks. You will have great sucsess with the setup. The car has tons of steering without any mods with this setup. if you need any other help, just let me know.
