if you remove the ft shocks and hold car off the ground , moving one ft arm up you can see the other side will not move for a few mm's until the bar lifts it.

this depends on how you have the set screw adjusted where the bar mounts to the dif.

I would think if you had this set up loose the car can roll into a turn rather easilly until the bar tightens up and then suddenlly stop it maybe causing traction roll?

Or on a rutted surface give the suspension more freedom but still act as a sway bar in hard corners.

some guys are removing the ft bar to get more steering but how about this adjustment set screw?
( I'm just thinking out loud here and would like opinions)

maybe a place for future hop up parts.... a bearing or bushing around the bar for smoother movement so you can tighten it up without binding......

Auto, if I understand what you are saying this is what you need to do.
Adjust the length of the the link that goes between you sway bar and your A-arm. Sway bars can get tweeked a bit in hard crashes or for whatever reason. I check Derek's sway bars weekly to be sure they are even on both sides and adjust as needed. Almost every car I have ran or Derek has ran either offroad or oval that have sway bars need to have the link from left to right at diferent lenghts to make them have equal pressure on each side.

i have slop in my rear bar, like where it attaches to the diff case...i can grab the wing and rock the car side to side some before the sways slop is taken up.... is this normal on your guys cars? was thinking the clamps were getting worn... any ideas? small fuel tubing or thread tape to fill the gap?

One thing I noticed when my stabilizer bar doesn't engage at the same time between left & right is when one of my arm is bent. In my experience, this thing happens more in the rear than in the front suspension. My left rear arm usually bent first so the stabilizer would not react the same for left and right. In my observation maybe because in modern buggy engine is palced on the left side and the heat is making the left rear arm to be easily bend. Just a thought..

Hang on a sec  ....... So do you actually tighten the grub screws down to the roll bar so the roll bar does not move? Mine are loose so the roll bar can move freely side to side is this right?

I slow turn in the set screw while moving the bar up and down, when I feel drag on the bar from the set screw, I then back it of 1/8th of a turn. Repeat for the other side.

Dave got what I;m thinking about. To set up the bar so it only works at a certain lean angle. Just an experiment. On a rutted track it may be something to think about.
