Well....lol A buddy of mine picked up a M18 and he had the 8000 with the 3 cell Li Po 11.1v battery... so Wed night we tossed the M18 together... Tonight we went to the hobby shop to pick up a servo and do some testing before the club racing and was talked in to running.... So we borrowed a body.... got a set of foams... and let er rip.... It was up against another m18 with a brushed mod motor and two other mini-t's also with the same setups.. Mamba 8000 and Li Po packs.... This was my buddys very first onroad race he had ever driven... and first qual was lets see how many times we can tracktion roll.... the sec. qual was lets try a little less duel rate and lighter on the trigger... Did good... first main had a great hole shot and got over excited and drove like crap... Last main...sauced the rears only and won!!!!!!! Talk about Sick Fast... The plastic stock diffs held up nice but started to make noise in the last min of the main. So before we left we ordered the Alu. Ball Diff ... Well One .... now im thinking maybe should have got two... the Car went home with him so I didnt get the chance to open the difs and see what they looked like so really cant comment on them.. They still felt smooth....
Just thought since this was the topic I would add a little info as to how the mamba 8000 works.... GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wish my budget was different so I could get one too and smoke my buddy...lol
