XRAY - Model racing cars

Theory: I clean my car with simple green and then wd-40. I have taken out my hingepins after this and found a ton of worn off arm plastic caked onto the hingepin. It is near impossible to even get the hingepin out of the arm. Now I am not sure if this if from the way I clean my car or because of the chamber in the arm that can hold the dust from the arm rotating on the hingepin. So I cut the chamber area with a diamond dremel wheel. However I suggest do the #2 suggestion if you are going to test this out. I am not sure if this is the cause for the squeak so if you decide to try this beaware that is may not cure it and you may break your rear arm with more ease. I ran it for one day at the track that makes my car squeak in a matter of tanks and I didn't get any noise from the rear, but that isn't enough testing to make certain it is the cause.

1. Is what I did, I would only cut the bottom side so dirt can't just fall into it while your racing. There is a chance that dirt can get in from the bottom but not as likely. The flaw with this was that the arm had more flex in the droop screw stay and I didn't like that so #2 is what I will try next.

2. Drill 5 small holes on the bottom side. I would do it this way in the future to keep the strength there.

I ship my tires, car, and anything that has had fuel through it to my Hotel and ship it back. I have gotten burned once from the airport and it was actually this race last year so since than I pay $50 both ways to ship a 30 pound box to and from the race to make my life easier.

what do you mean you burned once ? do you mean you got burned once ? What happened , your car got stolen through the luggage transport ? That sucks.

Sorry, added the missing word. I got burned once meaning that TSA felt it would be unsafe to let my engines, pipes, tank, and fuel bottle under the plane. So I have to leave them there and buy it all at the race.
