ever look inside your spektrum reciever box? that looks like a small wind could break it. 2 circut boards and one just plugs into the other.very fragile.they should be epoxy filled.
digitals need to have perfect linkage adj and no slop in the system. they hold with full power and if your linkage is not right they will burn themselves out . at least that is what I've read.
I have futaba 9450 and 9351 for a few years now and never even think about them. I'm setting up another car this week and it has a non digital servo in it and I don't like it. it doesn't hold neutral in the exact spot. seems l;ike neutral can be wherever + or- a good ammount.

Yeah I have a little slack on the brake also. And my servo saver is set at the factory position. I am having problems with KO Propo Digital Heatsink 2364 ICS Servos. My Steering works but it wabbles a few mm's back and forth and my throttle servo just ciezed up on me at WOT. When I turn the power off the servo is free , but once I turn it on whatever position it is in it freezes. very unusuale. Any advice?

not much to say on the throttle servo, but when they get play like your steering, its just one of the gears getting worn. on hitec's there is one that looks like a bell, and the pin that it rotate on, the hole get wallered out, a wallered out hole if fun for no-one makes for lots of Slop.

Nope. you're correct, FreakOfNature. I used the wrong word, and I apologize, it should not have been "frequency".

Regardless...why does their information not tell the WHOLE story? Sure, the FCC 'requires' they be smart, but it also requires they accept interference from other devices. The same holds true for all radio equipment, but you'd think they would put the whole thing on there!

At the local tracks, after filtering out those people with AM or lower-end radio equipment, I'd say I've heard more complaints from those with DSM modules than those without. Perhaps some of those have original software versions, etc. Or perhaps it just isn't as foolproof as everyone thinks.

I tend to think simpler is always more reliable. DSSS is definitely not simpler than a conventional R/C radio system. Although, I think it's a great idea, just isn't perfected yet. I could speak for pages about their claims of certain things, and I could relate them to the networking industry, but that's a different discussion.

Giorgi....not sure if you took offense to my post or are just responding with conviction, but my "big fat ZERO problems." was just me emphasizing, that with the combination I run, I have had no problems. I certainly wasn't telling you what to do, so choose whichever.

I don't use digital servos for throttle, due to everything I have read about their internal functionality is that it does strain the system, both battery wise and circuitry (in the servo). Fact being (and in another thread), sometimes stuff just happens.
