XRAY - Model racing cars

This is a special thread where you should post and report any problems you experience with the XRAY products. Please report if you have any problems related to:

missing parts
quality problems
performance problems
products availability problem
problem with a customer support
any other problem related with XRAY products.

This special thread was created to keep all the reports/complaints/blaims from XRAY members in one place to enable the customer service department and the TQM (Total Quality Management) staff to monitor for any problems.


When posting a problem report, please do following:
always describe the problem in as many details as possible
whenever possible link a photo which shows your problem
have your profile updated and show your location (Country, State) so customer service department can forward you to the local distributor if neccessary
always keep receipt from your product as well the serial number of your kit (Certificate) which may be requested by service staff/distributor in case you will need any replacement/exchange
if you have a problem and are upset, cool down first and report the problem in a well-behaved manner, the interest of XRAY is to help you out

Use this thread to report problems only. Do not ask technical/set-up/commercial questions in this thread.

Do NOT duplicate posts and make sure to post any problem report ONLY in this thread. Any problem report posted in other threads will be removed by admins/moderators.

Funny that you say that powder King. After last weekend of racing my cars radio tray (carbon Fiber) also cracked about three layers through(not completely) on the skinny part where the throttle servo goes except on the opposite side of the engine. I thought it was a freak thing. I already switched it out as I cut my hand pretty nicely on it as I was trying to crack the little peice off that shattered. I thought it was pretty good result for the whole weekend of racing and only braking one part. So I was pretty happy with my results. I thought I was the only one with this problem as I have never heard anyone post results like this before, but maybe its a flaw, maybe its not. If the second one I replaced it with cracks again then I'm gonna start gluing the sides, but for now I'm pretty content with it. Keep me updated if anyone else has had this problem. Has Xray realized this problem or is it not a normal occurance? Thanks

While putting together my new XB8 last night ran into an odd situation. I was assembling the shocks and two of the four 2.5 washer that sit under the shock piston did not fit onto the shock rod. It was easily fixed with a dremel, but thought I would post anyway. Can't wait to finish the car and get it to a track. Great work on a quality car.

I had a hard time getting my battery to take an initial charge. I was charging at .1amp like the manual said and the charger kept faulse peaking with a voltage too low warning. (Integy 16X5V6) I just keep at it and after about 15 restarts the voltage jumped up from 4.7V to about 5.2 and it trickled at .1V over night. It took a good charge since then and seems to be fine. My buddies battery took a charge on the first try. I guess I would say if you get a battery that will not take a charge keep at it with a low amp charge rate for a little while before giving up on it.

the only problem i had was the axle did not fit in the bit the wheel is screwed on to, i had to persuade it abit with a hammer,not the best bit of q/c iv ever seen,iv just orderd the ali rear arms and dont think the axels will come out, have you seen this before mario and can you help resolve my problem?

Mark - Definately save the part your having a problem with. If you can post some pictures of the part and give us some part numbers with some pictures of the problem your describing or anything else that you think would be useful information. This way we are all on the same page and there is no confusion

Xray is a great company and will try its best to ensure we all get quality products.

Let me know if I can help if possible. Mario and the team at Xray have been very busy getting us all option parts for the XB8 the past few weeks as well as parts for the rest of their product line. They will do what they can to resolve any issues with bad fitment of the parts etc....
