Richard,
Yes, Kyle is showing promise
For a few years I used cunning and wisdom to beat his youth and enthusiasm but for the past 18 months I can count the times I've beaten him with the fingers on one hand. Sometimes he is kind (like last week) where he waits until the 3 min mark before he passes me - really annoying seeing as I was a clear 2nd! he could have stayed behind me for the rest of the race so we finished on the same lap!
He won the BRCA U14 Nationals last year with the old EVOII (as mentioned above!) and is even quicker this year with the FK05. He's qualified 2nd in BTCC 19T A finals for both rounds he's run (we didn't do Bedworth) and has had BRCA B finals in 2 of the 3 rounds so far (Ashby last weekend was a disaster!)...and of course he's our reigning club champion
Fortunatly we do get some support from our local hobby shop, RacingDrome. I have written to Mirage several times regarding getting him a B team drive, but nothing's come out from it. I reckon I could easily get him a Schumacher drive, seeing as their HQ and production facility is about 10 miles away and our track is the "local" for many Schumacher drivers, but as a privateer Kyle generally beats them so untill Schumacher produce a competetive car I see that as a retrospective step (although it could save me a load of money!). I understand that this year they are focussing on the off road car, so a Mi3 could be a year away...and the rate Phil D is going thru their diffs is a worry on the Mi2.
But hey, maybe Mario will read this and think that the potiential of taking a 14 year old who is proving himself at the top level in the UK and has been driving Xray's for 4 years is worth a serious look

(a not so subtle hint!)
