The FK04 is a fantastic car and impossible as it may seem, the 05 is even better. I really enjoy running it...

So this is basically to take away the intial turn-in push of a spool?

I suspect that is why Jilles did it, although may have been part of the reason. I think more important for the turn in is the fact that Jilles ran a relatively high rear roll center.

How does changing the ackerman by moving the steering post from the forward to back position effect the car?

Am I correct in assuming that by moving the post from the stock forward position to rear postion I am going to increase turn in but decrease steering mid corner resulting in less over all steering?

Would this change result in a setting between postion 1 and 2 on the steering knuckle with the post in the fwd position?

The change in cornering a result of a greater wheel turn on the inside wheel but less on the outside wheel, correct?

Moving the servo saver to the rearward position increases the Ackerman angle and generally will give more steering, especially through tight corners. Moving the servo saver to the rear position is a smaller change than moving the steering links on the steering blocks to the forward position will mak. So with the steering link in the rear position moving the servo saver from front to rear is indeed close to having a hole between positions 1 and 2 on the steering arm.

It means that the 3700 batts will fit the chassis without any modifications. It does not mean the slots are filled.
