Xray FK04 model

I recently bought a second hand FK04 for my son. I tried setting it up like the Raycer he already had but the back continues to step out under braking and accelration. I have fitted it with a standard diff but this did not make it much better. Does anybody have any sensible ideas?

do you have the short arm suspension on the 04?
if you dont put them on run light blue springs all the way around to holes open all the way around. shock mounting should be the same as the initial
setting. check shock tweak make sure you resolve this! ride height I use
is 4.5 front 5 back. this should take care of you problem.
