if they really wanted loads of off power steering they'd have used some one way bearings in the front diff

I think the purpose of the design was to keep the braking on the straight line but allow the front brakes to release going hard into tight turns. I have met the inventor and raced with him a few times. He is a smart dude and knows his car well. I would suspect you could achieve a similar result with some servo mixing but it would not be as effective as the mechaincal set up with two stand up servos. I do not think the system will work on a lay down steering servo.
A good radio and throttle servo will allow for the rear brake to go to full lock and front to bind hard and I am sure with a bit of tweaking the braking at 3/4 trigger may allow the rear brake to still slightly lock while the front is still free moving somewhat so with either a good finger or internal radio mixing on steering to throttle this could benifit the Xray.
I am not sure what radios currently have the feature but I know the new M11 will and I am waiting impatiently for that to hit the shelves.

pretty cool idea, but not so innovative. It seems like there trying to modify anything they can to be known. If you want to be innovative its gonna have to be a big change in my opinion. but who cares about my opinion

I actaully know this gentlemen very well. I've known him for probably going on 13 or 14 years. The guy isn't in it to become known. Part of being innovative is looking at something your not quite happy with and figuring out what needs to be done to get what you want out of it.

Both him and I have talked and you can do the same thing with a laydown servo, you just need some other parts and pieces, its not as straight forward as the stand up servos.

He came up with a "best of both worlds" idea......the right person happened to see it a National event and the rest is history.

i think that is kind for pulling the throttle back in case of no more electricity - same time no engergy-loss while braking (in contrary to the common version)
