Spring steel dust (orange) on C-Hub

After racing today I noticed some dust from my spring steel axle on the chub and inside the wheel hex once I took it apart, also the opening end of the wheel hex was flared....I checked the dogbones and they are not bent, what could cause this, I also felt a vibration in the car and I am pretty sure it was in the front end....any ideas, clues, hints...

I have already checked all the bearings, they are good to go
I checked the dogbones they are straight
I checked for bent hinge pins and nothing
The diff is still real smooth
belt was running true...

I am out of ideas....

Ahhhhh, never thought of that....it probably did go dry...would that have caused a vibration as well?? Would I just use the diff lube or a heavier grease like MIP black grease???
