FK05, The prebuilt Diff is Dry... failure warning.

Did fk 04 diffs come prebuilt? Any ways guys how long did you run your diff loose to let it break in? My manual says."Important: When you build the differental, do not tighten it fully initaly; the differential needs to be broken in properly. When you build the diff tighten it very gently. When you put the diff in the car and complete the assembly, run the car a few minutes, tighten the diff a little bit, and then recheck the diff. Reapeat this process several times untill you have the diff tightened to the point you want it. Final adjustments should ALWAYS be made with the diff in the car and the car on the track." Oh and Mario happy to report all the fk 05's at my track are trouble free and just as good as any other xray kit, satasfaction guarenteed!!

Same her in southern VA. All fk05's are running great. My 04 is still making strides each week as well (now in the bottom/mid of the a main, although 2 to 3 laps off the fast guys pace with fk05).

In general for the first minute or two you should run the diff as loose as possible. Best is if you run it so loose that it will slip if you hit the throttle to hard and just cruise around. After the two minutes tighten the diff a little so it does not slip anymore (no further at this stage!) and complete the run. The diff is now seated and you can run it tighter if you want. Even then it is best to tighten in small steps instead of going from a loose to a stiff setting in one go.

so am i putting the same grease (the stuff in the syringe) on the trust race as i am the main diff balls???
i have always used black grease on the trust balls on previous cars, and silicon greaese on the main balls!!!
