RIDE HEIGHT!

I set it at say 5mm on the table, when the car is put on the carpet it only measures about 3mm. The chassis drags the carpet quite a bit. should i set the ride height to 5mm on the carpet?

you shouldnt have to drop the car,just set it on the table or board and push down a couple of times in the middle.it should be the same everytime you do this!!!if it doesnt repeat within reason something is binding in the chassis.if it is binding take the shocks off and move each arm up and see if it falls free.if it doesnt your problem is somewhere in that arm.fix it!if nothing binds check the shocks for binding it can happen especially if you have the carbon shock towers.i found if you put the pivot balls in one direction in the rear top the shocks will bind on the tower when tightened down.just put the balls back in the other direction.just remember if you cant get a setting in the chassis to repeat than something is wrong somewhere.hope this helps you.

I refitted the front one way, put purple springs on the front, violet on the rear and the car drove nicely although it was very responsive to steering.
