Really need tape !

I haven't received a battery strap and so really need the cell tape? But where can i get it ? I am in the UK any help will be appreciated been told staples ? Glass Fibre Tape... but can't see on their website

I really wanna run the car :cry:

Staples is the place to go, glass fibre tape is kept alongside the "jiffy envelopes" and other postage type stuff...

another idea, use the velcro strip from you battery building jig -that's what i've done

Have you tried Apex? thas where i got mine from. If really desperate intersport do 25mm x 10m cricket bat fibre tape. I used that this weekend at MK and did have the cells come out once.

Centre Point market it through all good LHS. £15 a roll though. If I had'nt been racing for the first time later the day I bought it, I would have told them where to put it.

Searched via Google and found loads of places that sell it at a fraction of the price.

As i mentioned first off i ordered a batt strap as i didn't want all this, shame it didn't turn up

, nm, I like the velcro idea as i don't really want to start smoothing edges for a temporary solution ! So ... i don't have a battery jig, would a good wide velcro strap do ?

providing it fits thru the slots and secures properly...

one word of caution, it wherever you race has a ride height rule, you will need to raise your ride height to accomodate the thickness of the velcro. Our club does, so on Sunday it's back to tape...but then we're outdoors where ride height isn't an issue so strap again!

I dont enjoy taping either but if people are having problems then its becuase its their own fault. it takes minutes to round the edge of the tap hole and only takes a minute to tape in the batteries. I ran the same piece of tape for one practice night. if you prep the battery slots to get them to sit lower and use the guides that hold them in place, the batteries are not going anywhere....period. I spoke with RC America today and they think the battery brace will be in next week or so....until then, this is really not that bad. Its not rocket science.
