Hang on, all this talk i thought the biggest spur was 87, that would fit ?? I am just about to get a different spur gear and looking at the instructions 90 is an option can someone from xray clarify, also how do i work out the final drive ratio ?

I last was running 7.6-8.0 ? As a quick help (need to quickly order), what would i need, also need to know the way to figure it out so i don't ask !

Col, the 90 spur will fit when running the 3mm chassis according to Mario. On the 2.5mm chassis it will be too close to the chassis bottom and thus break as soon as you run over the kerbs.

The final drive ratio = ( spur / pinion ) x interal ratio. The internal ratio on the FK05 is 1.7. So with an 87 spur and a 18t pinion you get: ( 87 / 19 ) x 1.7 = 7.78.

BTW, download the FK05 modifiable setup sheet as it will automatically calculate the final drive ratio as well as the roll out (how far the car will travel on one motor/pinion revolution) for you.
