Is it worth having an ALU chassis?

Hi guys,

so last week at a big UK indoor meet alot of people had 2 cars, one C/f and the other being ALU. Do you think its worth having the 2 cars? i plan to race at all the UKs big indoor meets as well as all carpet round of the ETS.

I don't think it would be as much use at EWS, though RugRacers and ETS it might help.

You need to remember that they will also become bent more easily.
If you have two cars, then back to back testing might be worth it, if you have only one, then perhaps just using the kit CF and using the graphite wishbones etc might be easier.

Hey

The Alu chassis works very well on carpet and surprisingly well asphalt. I ran the it at EWS last weekend so recommend it.

olly-what alu chassis did you use-the 15?

Also should i set the car up differenlty or run the same as i would on a carbon chassis?

Hey,

The alu chassis should work pretty well set up the same as the carbon chassis. My set up is online from ICC at ews, this used the alu chassis and worked great.

When I tried it I didn't need to make any big changes to set up apart
from using the split front block for extra flex.

If your using the steering brace you probably wont need this with the alu chassis.

The 2016 chassis should be available pretty soon.
