XRAY - Model racing cars

Does anyone have any experience with running a T4 2015 on carpet with an aluminum chassis and how did you find it?

Many of the top XRAY drivers have used the alu chassis on carpet. Alexander Hagberg have used it a lot.

You can see in the setup sheets whether they use the alu chassis or not.

It is mostly used with the 1.6 mm topdeck which in many cases have been raised 1mm.

But ultimately, you should consider it a tuning option, I don't think you can say either is the best option in all cases.

I think Alexander Hagberg changed from alu chassis to carbon chassis in ETS RD2 to get a better car, which only put emphasis on that it is a tuning option that needs to be tried in comparison.
