Avoid stainless, they're about half the strength of normal steel but just as heavy.
I personally avoid aluminium, as they're not much lighter than Ti but are much weaker and prone to rounding off.
I use a full Ti kit which saves around 20g, which can then be put back on as lead, and used to adjust the balance and lower the CoG. The hiro seiko stuff seems good quality.
Does it make a major difference? No, it's way down the list of recommended upgrades, especially on an Xray which is already under-weight.
