good morning to all
Sunday I was fighting for 5th place in the final in fiorano and after refueling at the first turn the engine off. I had already alerted the morning it was very hot and after refueling in qualifying at the first turn off. I thought it was an accident. I have a motor that was always a Swiss watch. never done an OS so. after retiring in the final checked everything and it seems the first clue that closes the tank tapo evil or rather an understatement. and happened to any of you? .

No, I'm still using the 2012 car and an O.S. Speed with 2058 pipe and never got a flame out during racing or refueling. Even without the O-ring 'mod' around the tankmounts the tank can be completely used down until being empty with the engine always getting fuel and never running lean at the end of a stint except for the last 50-60m before the fuel is all gone. Also not at 35°C in the shadow with higher humidity.

What you have to check is the following:

Remove the rubber o-ring cap in the middle of the tank cap. Then check if you can see the nipple of the lid inside.

If you can, this means that the nipple is too long and you need to cut +/- 1mm off the thread of the nipple.

This will reduce airflow and prevents the engine from running smoothley.
