Hi

Have anyone had any problems with stripping the 1 gear? I have changed the oneway adapter , use the hudy oneway oil , give it one drop every 30 min. Have stripped around 10 1 gears , both 59 and 60.

Car is NT1 2014.

Any ideas

No, never striped a gear, not once.
Mybe your clearance between the Pinion and Spur is seriously wrong?
When does this happen?

Greetings

No , clearence is perfect.
Have so far changed :
Pinion - spur - one way bearing unit - 2 speed axle bearing - bearing clutch - bearing engine

And still it strip the gear. I give the oneway bearing one drop of oneway oil (the hudy one) every 30 min. Now we will change the 2 speed axle.

Also check if the crankshaft is straight. When mounted in the car use a hex driver to turn the engine round slowly and check the gear mesh if it changes.

There are three thinks, you can looking for:

1) Do you have a lightweight 2-speed-axle? A newer one do not work properly.

2) The Bearings in the clutch are o.k.?

3) Make sure, that the screw´s from the gear box shoe´s is not to tighten.
