Need advice on Motor pinion on T4 2014 with stock spur

Hey guys,

I need your advice. Im the new owner of T4 2014, i would like to ask which motor pinion should i use for my T4. What i will be running is Hobbywing Ezrun 5.5T combo with 60A esc.

Currently in my hand i have Tamiya 24T and 25T Pinion.

when i ran a 5.5t on a large outdoor track i used a 26,for smaller tracks a 24/25 should be ok,you can add boost as required

You mention EZrun? Sensorless? You need to do some speed runs then hold the motor for 5 seconds. If it's too hot gear down on your pinion

yes im using Ezrun and its sensorless... i have tried with 20T tamiya pinion and stock 84T spur... the noise coming from the car is weird.. when i take out the motor and spin the wheels.. its smooth...no noise

any clue?

Doesn't Tamiya use their own pitch system, .4 and .6, not 48 and 64p? They look very similar. I would try to borrow a pinion you know is 48p and see if the issue goes away.

Change pinion as tamiya do use their own pitch

update: i got mine installed with 19T pinion... run for few times on track but the motor is not warm enough...
