Hello,

How to bleed the shocks ?? And how to Adjust the Rebound ?
What is better 0% Rebound or 100% ?

I have see many many ways to bleed and adjust the shock
but what is the best method to make the shocks ?

from what ive read none of the top drivers worldwide use rebound,so 0% on that one
as for bleeding them ,if you have a vaccum pump this will make it easier to get the trapped air from the oil,i dont use a pump as i dont have one
i have my shocks in a stand and fill with oil,then push the shock shafts almost to the top (you dont want the piston sticking out,just under the surface of the oil)i also flick the bottom of the shaft to help the bubbles rise to the top then leave them for a few minutes,(go make a cup of tea/beer/shag the girlfriend/wife/someone elses wife),5 mins later pull the shaft down quickly,any air will get pushed through the piston and with a few flicks it will pop to the surface,part one done refill them to the top and then push the cap with the bladder in it and no foams when you put the cap on put it on at an angle (kinda like roll it on)and the excess oil will be pushed out,do this with the shock shaft about 2/3 rds of the way in when you screw down the cap,then check to see if you have any rebound,if you have then unscrew the cap but dont lift it off ,push the shock shaft in fully and retighten the cap and check again,if you still have rebound then when you unscrew the cap lift it very slightly with the shock shaft fully extended .you need a small amount of oil to come out but you dont want to let any air in,screw the cap on a few threads and push the shaft 2/3 rds of the way in and screw down fully,by now with a final check you should have a shock with no rebound and when you push the shock shaft in and out fast it shouldnt make any noise if you got it right,if you hear a small squeak like noise then you have let air in and will have to start from the beginning with fresh oil
it took me a few attempts to get it right but now i get it right first time every time,just take your time and like always with practice you will master it,this is just my way of doing it,others will have there way of doing theirs so hope fully someone else will also take the time to explain a different way,you tube will have a few good tutorials to watch ,i think Paul leMieux put a shock building vid on there

I find it easier to fill up on full extension then tip upside down and unscrew seal cap. Depress shaft slightly till oil comes out then lock and try rebound, repeat till zero rebound
