Hi,

What have people found the outcome to be when using the top deck rear mount and removing the lay shaft screws?

Hi Matt

The top deck rear mount improves forward and rear traction and makes the car more stable and easier to drive under low or med traction conditions. There is no reason to use it with the lay shaft screws and the M3 nut from motor mount if you want to see/feel the difference.

The alu topdeck mount. I race on med to high grip so I assume as I don't need any extra rear traction, taking the layshaft screws out and using the post wont benefit me?

I would actually try it.
It seems to give more steering without taking away too much rear grip, might be great in 17.5
I've had mixed results with it in boosted, but it depends on the track and how tight the corners are etc.

Its always very confusing how sometimes more rear flex could give more steering but sometimes it gives more rear grip!!
